Ferocious

It’s a heavy tow to hold being a fighter, going to battle unsure of the outcome. Fatima Mallett has done this time and time again, win or lose, she shows up and gives it her all. For the little I’ve known her she’s always held her head high and carried her heart proudly no matter the challenges she’s faced.

When she came to me with the idea of designing her a promotional walk-out shirt leading up to her fight- I loved the idea. It was with great honor I wanted to form something that would represent her. When she mentioned the spirit animal she likes to call upon as her persona was a phoenix, it truly matched the energy I felt from her.

The Phoenix often resembles renewal/ rebirth- a rising from the ashes. Someone like this is never defeated only guided by their inner light. Fatima is a radiant individual who walks in with an immense amount of care for the people she works with.

As a mother and a fighter, she carries a lot and always finds a way to stay patient and grounded in any situation. She doesn’t let fear consume her; she simply uses it to bring out the best of her. She is Ferocious.
